Why choose it
The Vanoise Express is the point: one pass links La Plagne, Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry without turning the day into a road transfer.
Terrain and daily flow
425 km of skiing across Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne, with more than 260 runs. The official domain states that 70% of its slopes sit above 2,000 m.
Useful on the ground
Good family zones, many ski schools, snow parks, forest runs, glacier viewpoints, large self-catering stock and the Yuge app for live resort information.
Choose the right side
La Plagne and Les Arcs each contain several bases; the domain name is not a useful address.
High La Plagne villages
Belle Plagne, Plagne Centre and nearby altitude bases favour simple slope access and services, with purpose-built rather than traditional village character.
La Plagne village bases
Montchavin-Les Coches is best placed for the Vanoise Express; Montalbert and Champagny favour village atmosphere and more local ski days.
Les Arcs
Arc 1800 is the liveliest, Arc 1950 is compact and pedestrian, Arc 2000 prioritises high access, and Arc 1600 is quieter and close to the Bourg-Saint-Maurice funicular.
Peisey-Vallandry
A strong compromise for traditional villages and central access to the Vanoise Express, without the full nightlife of the larger bases.
Pass and ski-day strategy
A full Paradiski pass only adds value when the group will cross the valley link.
Beginners and relaxed groups
A La Plagne or Les Arcs local pass already provides a large area. Staying local reduces navigation and return-time pressure.
Cross-domain day
Start early, reach the Vanoise Express with time in hand and set a firm turnaround. The cable-car crossing is quick; skiing to and from it is not.
Pass extensions
Where offered, an extension can be more rational than buying full-domain access for every day. Check current terms on the official seller.
Before you book
The biggest logistics mistakes come from treating dispersed villages as one resort centre.
Ski-in / ski-out
Verify the residence and return piste individually. A high-altitude village can still include buildings away from the snow front.
Road transfers
La Plagne's lower villages and altitude stations are far apart by road and do not share one universal shuttle network.
Non-skiers
The Vanoise Express and local pedestrian access depend on the pass and operating status. Confirm the exact foot-pass plan before separating the group.
